IKC De Triangel is a welcoming, small-scale primary school where we work with great pleasure every day on the broad, meaningful development of our 200 pupils. Every child matters, belongs completely, and is seen by us.

IKC De Triangel is a safe haven for children. We offer a basis for more and are a school where your son or daughter can and may develop optimally. The teachers encourage the children daily to get the most out of themselves. Personal attention for each child is essential to see their talents. A child who is comfortable in his or her own skin, and experiences safety and trust, will be able to learn. It is therefore important to us that your child feels safe and secure at our school. We look at the talents and educational needs of your child and try to match these as much as possible.
Our vision on learning is that the teacher takes the lead in providing education. We utilize the didactic model of “explicit direct instruction.” By going through the various lesson phases and checking for understanding, we work towards equal opportunities for all our pupils. We differentiate by allowing pupils who are capable to start their independent work earlier during the instruction and by offering them appropriate tasks, or conversely, by providing extended instruction or remedial teaching for those pupils who require it.
We believe that thematically integrated education contributes to a strong knowledge base and cultural literacy. We do this by offering reading and world studies lessons thematically and integrated in particular. In doing so, we use different forms of work to ensure that our students are engaged with future-oriented skills and to ensure that they actively participate in their learning.
At our school, we do not only learn arithmetic, language, and other subjects; children also engage with drama, music, and crafts. On the Triangel stage, children perform with their class. This is a special experience for parents and grandparents, but also for the child. Because they have created the performance together with their classmates and have also taken care of the sets, lighting, and sound.
