Sometimes registration goes differently than standard. Below you will find information about common special situations.
My child is already 4 years old
Is your child already 4 years old and have you not yet registered via the central procedure? Then contact the school of your preference directly. They will help you further with registration and enrolment.
Multiples (twins, triplets)
Do you have multiples? You register your children separately. At registration you mention that the child belongs to a multiple. The school links them together within the procedure.
Moving to Zoetermeer
Are you moving to Zoetermeer and is your child younger than 4 years old? Then you can register your child in the next registration period that matches the date of birth. Is your child already 4 years old or older? Then contact the school of your preference.
Moving within Zoetermeer
Do you want to change schools because of a move? Contact the coordinator via contact@zonaardebasisschool.nl. The coordinator will help you further with the possibilities.
Extra support
Does your child need extra support? Think of a language delay, a physical disability or behavioural issues. Indicate this on the registration form. The school of your first preference will then invite you for a conversation to see if the school can offer the right support.
The school gets four extra weeks for this. If the school cannot provide the support, it will help you find a school that can.
Language class and Early Childhood Education (VVE)
Does your child need extra support in learning the Dutch language? In Zoetermeer there are primary schools with a language class and schools that offer pre-school education (VVE). Extra attention is paid to language here.
