Every school in Zoetermeer offers basic support for all pupils. Does your child need more? Then various forms of extra help are available.
Internal supervisor
Every school has an internal supervisor (IB-er). This is a specialist who supports teachers in guiding children who need extra help. The IB-er can also think along with you as a parent.
Language class
For children who do not yet sufficiently master the Dutch language, there are schools with a language class. In a language class your child receives intensive language guidance, so that they can take part in a regular class as soon as possible.
Pre-school education (VVE)
VVE stands for Pre- and Early-school Education. This is a programme for children aged 2 to 6 who are at risk of a language delay. At VVE schools, extra attention is paid to language, but also to arithmetic and social-emotional development.
Indicating extra support
Does your child need extra support? Indicate this when filling in the registration form. The school will then contact you for an introductory conversation. During this conversation it will be considered together with you what your child needs and whether the school can offer this.
