It may happen that there are more registrations than available places at the school of your first preference. In that case a lottery takes place.
How does the lottery work?
After the priority rules have been applied, the remaining places are drawn by lot. A notary is present to oversee a fair process.
What if your child is not selected?
If your child cannot be placed at the school of first preference, we check whether there is a place at the school of your second preference. Is that also full? Then your third preference is checked.
Multiple preferences given
Have you given multiple schools and your child receives a placement offer from a school of lower preference? Then you can participate in the placement improvement round (see below).
Not placed at any of the schools
Can your child not be placed at any of the three schools given? Then the coordinator will contact you. Together you will discuss the possibilities and a suitable school will be sought.
