IKC Het Plankier is a small, pleasant, and safe school where children quickly feel at home. This is because everyone knows one another and looks out for each other. We believe it is important that children, parents, and staff enjoy coming to school every day.

At our school, we work based on trust and connection. The 160 children are encouraged to be themselves. We excel in providing a personal approach and recognize what each individual pupil needs. We teach them to be confident and resilient. From that foundation, they can achieve excellent cognitive development.
Own level and pace
We are increasingly teaching children to work independently and to feel responsible for their own learning. They learn as much as possible at their own level, at their own pace and in their own way. Of course, not everything has to succeed at once. Making mistakes is part of the process and we are ready to help if needed.
Discovery and practice
We have every confidence in all children. At our school they can have fun discovering, practicing and developing what they are good and not so good at. This way, all children will soon be completely ready to enter the wide world.
