IKC De Hofvijver is Future-oriented, Media-literate, and Personal. Through our unit-based education, our students learn the core subjects and skills they will need in the future. Computer proficiency and digital literacy are integrated into our curriculum. Together with parents, we strive for the optimal development of every child!

IKC De Hofvijver is a school that makes time for talent, for both students and staff members. We are a ‘healthy school’ and a ‘traffic safety school’. Our school operates on a continuous schedule, offers English from Year 1, and maintains a clear structure.
At De Hofvijver, we promote the independence of our students and teach them how to consult and collaborate. This is why we work with unit-based education. Students are divided into three units: Unit 1: Years 1-3, Unit 2: Years 4 and 5, Unit 3: Years 6-8. Each day begins and ends in their own home group. Additionally, there are other moments when the home group gathers or receives instruction. Cross-group education is provided in various blocks, partly by their own home group teacher and partly by other teachers within the unit. The advantage of unit-based education is that it allows us to respond to differences in development and educational needs.
In addition to acquiring strong math, language, and reading skills, children also learn skills such as independence, collaboration, ICT skills, self-reflection, and planning. In this process, every child is the director of their own development. Children are given the space to grow, to be who they are, and to choose and learn what suits them best.
