Passe Partout is a Montessori Child Centre, located next to a beautiful green park in the Rokkeveen-oost district. Children from 0 to 12 years old meet in a relaxed environment: childcare and education transition seamlessly throughout the day. Passe Partout is based on the philosophy of Maria Montessori, where everything revolves around children and how they can be encouraged to learn as effectively as possible. No two children are the same, so learning is based on stimulating curiosity. Passe Partout is intentionally small-scale so that everyone can get to know each other well. In Montessori education, it is natural for children to learn in a way that suits them; independence and interacting with others in a pleasant manner are therefore important values.
Priority rule collaboration partner name: Junis child care.
Sibling priority rule: applicable at all schools.

The cheerfully decorated building on Saturn Yellow is home to both childcare and education. There is a homely atmosphere, which is deliberately encouraged by the teachers and educational staff. In a Montessori school, children of different ages are always together in a group. Each group has its own classroom that overlooks the park.

Realizing a parenting and educational environment as Maria Montessori intended requires additional skills from the staff. The leaders -as teachers at a Montessori school are also called- have therefore received additional training. The daily program they offer consists largely of the subjects called “the basic skills,” supplemented, for example, by discovering what history taught us; often in combination with other areas of interest.

The starting point is to encourage a child to take their own initiative or to investigate something. The teacher closely monitors what each child is doing and provides stimulation, explanation, or direction. Experience shows that children leave Passe Partout not only with good results, but also having learned to take responsibility, plan, and care for the world around them.
