De Spelevaert is a Catholic school in the Seghwaert neighborhood. Our way of working we call Successful Learning. We ensure that every student develops to the best of his or her ability, intellectually and social-emotionally. We not only teach the basic subjects effectively and with high quality, but also ensure that the children develop skills to achieve learning (Learning to Learn).

We teach children that they can be proud of who they are, with their talents and qualities, but also their development points. We do this in fixed groups with a fixed teacher. It is our belief that only in this way can a good atmosphere be established, with the teacher ensuring good group dynamics. “Only when the atmosphere is good, you come to learning,” we believe.

An important goal of Successful Learning is for students to maintain their enjoyment of school and learning. We do this by engaging our students in their learning. They know what they are learning and experience success by focusing primarily on their growth. This keeps learning fun, no matter what talents you have! We connect well with the subsequent education, but also with what society expects of our children when they are adults.

Art and culture have an important place. Children develop their creative talents and learn to understand the value of art. It also expands their world. Regular celebrations take place where children demonstrate various skills on stage. We love it when parents come and take a look at these.
