IKC De Edelsteen is a Dalton school with 11 groups. The motto of our school is: let every child shine. We develop independence and allow the children to grow in ownership.

Based on our vision, we teach all students the Dalton skills that ensure they learn to learn, be independent and responsible. Children also learn to cooperate and reflect. With these skills under their belt, they are able to make their own choices that motivate them to develop and enjoy going to school. We prepare children for an active role in society where they are mindful of their fellow human beings.
Ownership
We give students space to participate in the way they work on their tasks and goals. By giving students ownership of their own development, they have influence and control over what they can learn, cognitively, personally and socially. They become owners of their own learning and this is how we make children shine.
Continuous line of development
In our IKC, from one vision and as one team, we create a challenging, continuous line of development and make an important contribution to the education and development of children from age zero to the end of Elementary school.
